From small beginnings to a one stop shop
From small beginnings in 1979 as sole trading electricians in Southend, Essex, over the years, Blake Contractors Ltd has expanded to incorporate a separate property maintenance / general building works department and alarm and security division (see sister site Blake Fire & Security Systems) alongside the original Blake Electrical contractors.
Blake Contractors is a one stop shop for building and electrical work. We are able to handle (almost) anything from small repairs to complete refurbishments, both internally and externally and for domestic or commercial properties.

Blake Contractors is assessed on a regular basis to ensure that we are competent and capable of meeting the relevant technical and safety standards. We are an Approved Contractor which means that we are assessed to the highest standards covering all types of electrical contractors and installations.
We are also registered as a Domestic Installer with NICEIC which is important to comply with the requirements of Part P.
We are registered with the NICEIC for portable appliance testing (PAT).
We are accredited by CHAS - The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme – which means you can be sure that we have been assessed as being compliant with the core criteria described in the CDM regulations for Health & Safety.
ConstructionLine means buyers can be sure that we have been vetted to government standards as suppliers to the construction industry.
