Electrical Contracts Manager

I served a four year indentured apprenticeship and I am a JIB Approved electrician, with 40 years’ experience in industrial, commercial and domestic installations, ranging from oil refineries to churches and shopping centres to fashion houses.

I spent over 10 years self-employed either sub contracting or running and pricing my own works.

With Blake Electrical, I do the electrical quotes and large estimating projects.

I am in charge of 9 electricians and apprentices I run day to day as well as project manage all electrical installations / testing jobs.

I am one of Blake’s NICEIC Qualifying Supervisors responsible for the quality of our installations, inspection and testing. I am qualified to the 18th Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).

We work for a variety of public sector organisations including: Essex County Council, Southend-on-Sea City Council, Essex Police and Overrail Services to mention but a few.

We carry out regular maintenances, testing and installations for large private management companies in London, Essex and Kent, but we also deal with the general public from breakdowns, small installations and rewires.

I deal with a large and varied client base, meeting all sorts of people which keeps my job very interesting.
