Or more modern requirements like energy efficient LED lighting.
We guarantee our works for 12 months from completion, covering parts and labour. Terms and conditions apply.
We don’t offer electrical services that we are not qualified to carry out.

Can you upgrade our main intake, distribution boards and fuse boards?
Yes, subject to survey. The existing supply, installation and proposed load need to be assessed first. Where changes to the incoming supply are required, the project may also need coordination with the distribution network operator. Complete the form to book a survey.
Can I get additional electrical supplies for machinery?
Yes, subject to survey. New machinery loads need assessing against the existing installation before anything is specified, which is what the survey establishes. Complete the form to book an appointment.
Can our lighting be upgraded to LED?
Yes, subject to survey. On industrial premises this can include high bay fittings, car park lighting and external lighting. Complete the form to get a quote.

NICEIC certified since August 1981
Blake Contractors Ltd has held NICEIC certification since August 1981. It is not a one-off badge: NICEIC re-assess us on a regular basis against BS 7671, the UK wiring regulations, and against their own scheme rules.
We are certified on four NICEIC schemes:
- Approved Contractor - commercial, industrial and domestic electrical installation work
- Domestic Installer - covering Part P notification for notifiable domestic work
- Portable Appliance Testing (PAT)
- Landlord electrical safety certificates (EICRs)

Blake Contractors Ltd holds SSIP-recognised health and safety certification through CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor.
SSIP (Safety Schemes in Procurement) is the umbrella scheme that allows one health and safety assessment to be recognised across all member schemes, so buyers don't need to reassess us at pre-qualification stage.
